Emerging from the Shadows

I was in a poem writing mood. ❤️

She fled in desperation, and it wasn’t the best way,

But compelled to escape his grip, she couldn’t stay.

In her anguish, she left, unaware of the toll it would take,

And the loss that would follow, leaving her heart to ache.

Her children caught in the crossfire’s blaze,

For her actions, they now must pay.

She sought solace in the wrong embrace,

Losing hope with each step’s pace.

Post-separation abuse brought its own torment,

His relentless assault, never dormant.

She stood amidst his relentless storm and in the beginning, she stumbled and fell,

Lost in the deepest depths of her own personal hell,

Bruised and battered, with tears in her eyes,

She faced the darkness, with trembling sighs.

His lies, like daggers, etched her name,

Each falsehood cutting deeper, fueling her shame,

Leaving scars that lingered, wounds unseen,

In the depths of her soul,

where pain reigns extreme.

He weaves deception into truth’s fabric,

His manipulation, a venomous habit.

The courts swayed by his cunning guise, While her cries for justice seem to vaporize.

He turns her children against her, one by one,

Their innocence tainted by his poisoned spun.

They bear the scars of a broken home,

Their tender hearts forced to roam.

But she clings to faith, through the darkest night,

Knowing God sees, in His holy light.

The puppet masters reckoning is coming, a day of dread,

His deeds concealed, but God will bring them to light instead, For every lie spun, every deceitful scheme,

Will be laid bare before God’s righteous supreme.

The puppetmaster seeks her downfall, destruction his aim,

But she fears for his judgment, in God’s holy name.

Thinking he’s escaped consequence, scot-free he’s not,

For God sees all, every deed, every plot.

No matter how well he believes he’s wrought,

His sins will be laid bare, before the Almighty’s gaze,

His facade stripped away, in the light of truth’s blaze.

So she stands, amidst the storm’s relentless rage,

With faith as her anchor, on this turbulent stage.

Though darkness may loom, and trials may abound,

She knows in her heart, true victory will be found.

For in God’s perfect timing, all will be made right,

And she’ll emerge from the shadows, into His glorious light.
